CITY MP JIM WINS BUS ROUTE CHANGE
COVENTRY South MP Jim Cunningham today praised bus company Travel Coventry for re-instating routes in his constituency.
The company made changes to services in the Ernesford Grange, Stoke Aldermoor and Binley areas of the city last April.
The moves prompted complaints from upset passengers and the bus company has now decided to revert back to previous routes from this September.
The bus service will revert to serving Morrisons Superstore every 20 minutes during the daytime and every 30 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
The service will also be extended to the new hospital during the daytime between Monday and Saturdays.
Mr Cunningham said: “I had many constituents come to me complaining about the changes to the bus route and I took these up with Travel Coventry.
“They listened to the concerns and I’m pleased they have addressed the complaints and will revert back to the old routes. I look forward to the reinstatement of the old bus routes in September.”
