Progress on Whitley Business Park Site
Jim Cunningham MP for Coventry South has written to Regional Director of St. Modwen Properties PLC, John Dodds, asking what progress has been made between the company, the Council and local residents in respect to development at the site.
St. Modwen Properties PLC held separate meetings with Coventry City Council, the Whitley Residents Association and representatives from Friends of the Earth, regarding progress on the development of the Whitley Business Site.
The company held a public consultation meeting on Monday the 13th November, with the Whitley Residents Association. The conclusion of that meeting was positive, as the principle of the road location was understood once the facts in relation to the constraints and outline planning permission were fully explained, and the location of the crèche within the plot was agreed by all to be the best location.
“I am happy to hear that there have been meaningful consultations regarding the planning of the site, and the concerns of local residents have been taken into consideration. The next step now is to await the outcome of the planning proposals.” – Jim Cunningham MP
