Coventry South MP Meets PM Regarding Manufacturing Decline
Coventry South MP Jim Cunningham is to lead a meeting with the Prime Minister, and the West Midlands Parliamentary Labour Party on 15th May 2006. The meeting has been arranged to discuss the issues surrounding the manufacturing industry in the West Midlands.
The meeting will be an excellent opportunity for the West Midlands group to express their concerns to the Prime Minister, regarding the future of manufacturing in the region. We have seen a gradual decline in the industry that we must address, with most recently the closure of Peugeot’s Ryton plant; we have seen a decline in jobs in one of the UK’s most important industries.
