Glasgow South West occupies the South West of the City and runs from the Govan shipyard on the Clyde , past Ibrox Park, home of Glasgow Rangers, through housing schemes of various ages and ownership to the border of prosperous and leafy East Renfrewshire.
Bounded on the West by Paisley and the East by the M77 motorway the constituency contains some of the poorest areas in Scotland, though some progress is visible.
It includes all of the Scottish Parliament’s Pollok constituency and one third of Govan.
