Hywel Francis
MP Support for Remploy Workers
Aberavon MP, Dr Hywel Francis, recently visited the Baglan Remploy factory where he expressed support for the high standard of work being undertaken by the staff.
Dr Francis said,
“I was very impressed with the enthusiasm and skills of the Remploy workers and by the high standard of workmanship.”
“I know there has been a lot of uncertainty about the future and I assured local manager, Mr Garfield Morgan and TGWU/Unite union representative Mr Danny Hill that in my discussions with Secretary of State Peter Hain MP I would convey their views and concerns.”
Dr Francis added,
“I know from discussions that Mr Hain is keen to listen to the views of local management and unions and is very committed to the long term future of Remploy employees locally.”
