Aberavon MP Congratulates Young Athlete

Dr Francis congratulates Ffion on winning her Gold Medal

Aberavon MP, Dr Hywel Francis, has recently congratulated Ffion Edwards, age 9, a young athlete from Cwmavon, Port Talbot on her success with the Welsh Under-11’s Girl’s Relay Team.

Ffion, a pupil at Ysgol Gymraeg Rhosafan, has been running with the Neath Harriers since January and got the call to join the Relay Team in June, running with 3 other girls from local clubs. They won the Gold Medal in a recent event.

“I was delighted to hear of Ffion’s success and I congratulate her and her team mates on this great achievement. I wish the Relay Team every success for the future and I am sure there are many more Gold Medals ahead for them.”
