Since being elected in 1997, Helen Jones has worked hard locally. A fully staffed office has been set up in Warrington and she has dealt with queries and problems from thousands of people who have contacted her by letter, telephone, and e-mail or through her regular surgeries.
Helen Jones has established a well-deserved reputation as a hard working constituency MP and as a tough, energetic campaigner who gets results for local people
2007 IN PARLIAMENT AND WARRINGTON
During the last few months Helen has:
• met with English Partnerships to discuss the future of Omega;
• presented the first employee recruited under a new ’Temp to Perm’ initiative which allows people to find jobs quickly whilst also saving employers huge recruitment fees;
• presented awards at the 2nd Annual Home-Start Warrington Volunteer Awards Day in Winwick;
• met with Warrington Police to discuss their policing strategy;
• visited a number of schools including St. Andrews Primary to see their millennium garden, Locking Stumps Primary to talk to their school council, and Beamont Infants to take part in an assembly and talk to year 2;
• visited Warrington Collegiate.
