Falkirk West MP Welcomes Historic Low Level Of Unemployment
Falkirk West MP, Eric Joyce, has welcomed the recent figures published by the Office of National Statistics which show unemployment in Falkirk West at an all time low of 3.9%
The figures for February 2004 also show a drop in unemployment of 7.5% since the same period last year.
Speaking today, Eric Joyce MP said
‘This Government has produced unprecedented results in lowering unemployment since 1997 and is continuing on the road to full employment in Britain.
Right here in Falkirk West, many of my constituents will have benefited from Government policy which is providing a strong and stable economy and the highest levels of employment in a generation and news that unemployment in the area is now below 4% is very welcome news indeed.’
