Falkirk MP, Eric Joyce has today called on the Government to get tough on absent parents who avoid parental responsibility.

Speaking today in advance of a Government statement tomorrow on the reform of the Child Support Agency, Eric Joyce MP said

‘Most absent parents accept their financial and other responsibilities to their children and want to ensure a productive relationship with their ex-partners for the benefit of their children.

However, I believe that it is time for the Government to get tough on absent parents who avoid parental responsibility.’
