Davey Dazzles Children At Storytime
Edward Davey, Liberal Democrat MP for Kingston and Surbiton, celebrated National Storytelling Week by reading a story to Maple Infants School.
Edward Davey chose to read The Gruffalo to two classes year one pupils. National Storytelling Week this year runs from 28 January until 4 February 2006 and was started to promote one of the oldest art forms in the world.
Edward Davey said,
“It was an absolute pleasure to read to the children. I think I enjoyed it just as much as they did!
“Reading is a crucial skill, but it should be fun too. National Reading Week is an opportunity for everyone to rediscover their love of books.
