“Have a go at the Rolls-Royce Science Prize” urges MP
Doug Naysmith, MP for Bristol North West, has written to schools in his constituency to draw their attention to the annual Rolls-Royce Science Prize.
Dr Naysmith said, “I was a scientist before I became an MP so I know what a fascinating career science is and I want to encourage youngsters to take it up. As Rolls-Royce is a major employer of highly skilled scientists and engineers in my constituency, I am particularly interested in their Science Prize, which is for pupils from ages 3 – 19, and I hope many local schools will enter. I do appreciate how busy school life is but I know that there is a lot of interesting science being done in our schools which should be acknowledged and rewarded.”
