  David Burrowes addresses Conservative Party Conference

David Burrowes MP spoke to the Conservative Party Conference on Monday about the issue of drug and alcohol addiction in the UK.

On the articles page you will find the text of his speech, ‘Britain is experiencing an explosion in addiction’, in which he highlighted amongst other things the staggering statistics of those who are dependent on either illegal substances or alcohol and the numbers of children and families adversely impacted by addiction.

 

The speech was part of a presentation on the social breakdown that has taken place in the UK, before Iain Duncan Smith presented ways in which the Conservative Party can offer solutions to the problems.
