Charles Kennedy Announces New Shadow Minister For Scotland
Charles Kennedy, leader of the Liberal Democrats, today appointed John Barrett, MP for Edinburgh West, to the post of Shadow Minister of State for Scotland.
Charles Kennedy said:
"John is an experienced, well respected and hard working MP. His appointment is a great boost to our Scottish team and I have no doubt he will be an excellent ambassador for the Scottish people in Westminster.”
John Thurso, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland added:
"I am delighted that Charles has appointed John to the Scottish team. He brings a wealth of experience in many areas relating to Scotland and will be a great asset."
