Kennedy: London Olympics Will Be Source Of Inspiration To Next Generation Of British Athletes
Reacting to the news that London has been successful in its bid to hold the Olympic Games in 2012, Charles Kennedy said:
‘This is fantastic news for the whole of Britain. It will unite the country just as it united the three main political parties in its support. As the population of London reflects the rich diversity of all those nations taking part, it is the perfect location for a modern Olympic Games. The 2012 Olympics will be a great source of inspiration for the next generation of British athletes. I send my congratulations to all of the team who made the bid a reality.’
