Fintrade employees meet MP, rally of support to be held on Tuesday
At his surgery last Saturday morning, 22nd November, Bob Marshall-Andrews met a delegation of approximately a dozen Fintrade employees. During a lengthy meeting the employees detailed their collective experience of Fintrade Technologies Ltd - the lock out, no pay and finally notice of redundancy.
Bob gave his full support to all of the employees. A reporter from BBC Radio Kent covered the meeting.
Bob Marshall-Andrews said, "We need to keep the profile of this industrial dispute as high a possible to ensure that Fintrade meets it obligation to its employees, especially in the run up to Christmas with their families having little or no monies being brought home.
"Medway Labour Party's Vice-Chair Councillor Tessa Murray has organised rally of support and a collection for the Strood workers on Tuesday 25th at 10 am at Angel Corner, Strood. Like me, local union members have pledged their support and we hope to have a good number of the employees and their supporters turning out to meet local residents in and around Strood Market."
Bob Marshall-Andrews will be at Angel Corner, Strood tomorrow from 10 am.
