Coventry North East MP, Bob Ainsworth has written to the Police and Fire Service Chiefs seeking co-operation with Severn Trent Water to deal with vandals in Stoke Aldermoor. 

Gangs of youths are turning on water hydrants and draining the system leaving households without water.  When Severn Trent turn out to turn the hydrants off their employees are attacked.

Bob Ainsworth said:

“This was a real problem in Wood End until all agencies worked together properly to secure the hydrants and the difficulty was overcome.  I have written to the Police and Fire Service asking them to help Severn Trent because at the moment they are claiming they do not get any assistance.”
