Veterans Badges – Have you applied ?
Sixty years on from the end of VE Day, it’s right that we make sure the service personnel who kept Britain free are recognised for the contribution they have made to our country and their community.
A Veterans Lapel Badge has been developed to be worn on everyday clothes. It is to help people recognise veterans and the invaluable contribution made by them.
Who is entitled to the Veterans Badge
- Men and women who served in the UK Armed Forces in the First World War, and Second World War between 3/9/1939 and 2/9/1945.
- War Widows and Widowers who are getting a War Widows/Widowers Pension also qualify.
Other groups who served during the Second World War are also entitled:
- Cyprus Regiment
- Merchant Navy Seamen
- Home Guard
- Polish Forces under UK Command
How To Apply
If you are a veteran, or a veteran’s widow or widower, and have not yet applied for the badge, please contact my office and I will be pleased to assist you in applying for one.
