TAKE CHAOS OUT OF FREE BUS PASSES – WILLIAMS
Roger Williams MP, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire and Liberal Democrat Secretary of State for Wales, took part in a debate on concessionary bus passes on Tuesday 25th March and called for Westminster and the Welsh Assembly to get their act together on cross border journeys.
Speaking after the debate, Roger Williams said:
“I have reports on constituents travelling from Knighton and Presteigne to Hereford on free bus passes able to get to Hereford and then find themselves unable to get back because the bus companies will not accept the Welsh version of the scheme.
“This is unacceptable.
“I have been told that everything will work properly when the schemes have settled down, but for my constituents that will be too late, so I have told the minister to get it sorted.
