CIM releases comprehensive guide to help managers manage marketers
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has today announced the launch of its latest marketing industry agenda paper, Managing Marketing People.
Available now this latest CIM paper, which has been released as the fifth instalment of the leading agenda series, explores the changing skills set required of marketers. The paper asks whether today’s marketers have the right skills needed for marketing in the 21st century – particularly in light of the forthcoming Olympics.
Commenting on the paper David Thorp, Head of Insights at CIM, said; “An effective marketing department requires a strategic mindset, familiarity with measurement techniques and an understanding of how marketing can contribute to bottom line growth.”
Through highlighting the evolving balance in marketing between science and art, CIM’s Managing Marketing People agenda holds the answer to ultimate value-added dynamic marketing for the future.
In conclusion Thorp adds; “The modern business environment demands that marketers inspire effective communications, foster innovation, and connect emotionally as well as intellectually with the customer. And this latest paper will help marketing managers to achieve this.”
